Dr. Barbara Liu, MD

Director and Developer of MOVE 
Dr. Liu is the Executive Director of the Regional Geriatric Program of Toronto and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto.  Together with the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) and RGPs of Ontario, she is leading the pan-LHIN Senior Friendly Hospital strategy in Ontario.  Dr. Liu's research focuses on evaluation of interprofessional geriatric health services, appropriate medication use and falls prevention. .

Dr. Sharon Straus, MD, MSc 

Director and Developer of MOVE 
Dr. Straus is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is Division Director of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto and Director of the KT Program at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael's. She holds a Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Translation and Quality of Care. Her contributions include development and evaluation of strategies to bring evidence to the point of care, and the evaluation of other interventions to facilitate knowledge translation and promote quality of care.

Dr. Jayna Holroyd-Leduc, MD 

Project Lead, MOVE AB 
Dr. Jayna Holroyd-Leduc is the Geriatric Medicine Section Chief and an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. She is also the Medical Director of Specialized Geriatric Services in the Alberta Health Services Calgary zone. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University of Toronto, before completing a research fellowship in quality improvement and research methodology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) through the VA Quality Scholar program. Her major research interests involve the use of knowledge translation (KT) to improve the care provided to older adults. She is  the KT Committee Chair of the Canadian Frailty Network, a Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) network funded to improve the care of the frail elderly.

Dr. Julia Moore 

Program Manager 
Dr. Julia Moore leads the Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) at the Knowledge Translation (KT) Program in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael's Hospital. She is a project leader with experience in knowledge translation and implementation. Additionally, she is the lead implementation coach for the roll out of Mobilization of Vulnerable Elders (MOVE). Dr. Moore holds a PhD from the Pennsylvania State University in Human Development, where she focused on preventive interventions in early education.

Sobia Khan 

Implementation Coach
Sobia Khan is a knowledge translation and qualitative expert with the Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) at the Knowledge Translation (KT) Program in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael's Hospital. Ms. Khan has expertise in developing and evaluating evidence and theory-based implementation plans using the Knowledge-to-Action and Intervention Mapping frameworks. Ms. Khan is also the lead implementation coach for the roll out of Mobilization of Vulnerable Elders (MOVE) project.

Jacquelyn Quirk 

Implementation Coach
Jacquelyn Quirk is a research coordinator and knowledge translation specialist with the Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) at the Knowledge Translation (KT) Program in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. Ms. Quirk has a background in health promotion and public health, and experience developing evidence-informed programs and materials for a variety of projects. Ms. Quirk is the lead implementation coach for the roll of out MOVE in Alberta.

Charmalee Harris 

Data Coordinator
Charmalee Harris is a knowledge translation and quantitative data specialist with the Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) at the Knowledge Translation (KT) Program in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. Ms. Harris’ expertise is in, data collection, coding, analysis, and reporting results.
